Love or Fear – What Do You Choose?

What you do makes a difference, and you have to decide
what kind of difference you want to make.
- Jane Goodall

This moment is an opportunity to look at our lives and to evaluate where we are and what we choose to create in the new year.

What do we see when we look at our world today?  We see things that cause us sorrow. We also see things that give us hope.

Many people believe that we have no control over what will happen, and that we are just carried along by forces and circumstances outside of us. We see it differently. We see ourselves and all of us as influencing our future. We are more powerful than we know.

We understand that we have, within us, the power to determine our experience, no matter what is happening in the world around us.

One of our favorite songs is “I Choose Love” by Shawn Gallaway. It has a powerful message for us today, as the world seems to be spinning out of control, and many people are living with overwhelming challenges and fear of the future.

This song is not just about what we see in the world. It is more about our vision for the future, for the world that we are creating today with the choices that we make for our lives now. Do we want to live in a world in which people are driven by love or one in which we are driven by fear?

It is an invitation to see, together, the future that we choose to live in.

I can see laughter, or I can see tears.
I see a choice of love or fear.
What do you choose?

I can see peace, or I can see war.
I can see sunshine, or I can see a storm.
What do you choose?

I can see sharing, or I can see greed.
I can see caring or poverty.
What do you choose?

I can see gardens, or I can see bombs.
I can see life or death coming on strong.
So what do you choose?

This song invites us to claim our power to play a part in the creation of the world that we envision, by living our lives with love.

The message is one of hope and empowerment. When we live with love, we become a light in the world. We become a force for good that contributes to the growing worldwide realization of our kinship with one another and our ability to work together to build the future that we all long for.

I choose to live with freedom flying
from my heart where the light keeps shining,

and I choose to feel the whole world crying
for the strength that we can rise above.
I choose love, I choose love

I see us healing, darkness dying.
I see us dawning as one world united.
So what do you choose?

We are more powerful than we realize. Every choice that we make has an impact on the world immediately around us, and energetically, it affects the entire world.

More and more we are learning about the energy field in which we all live. Many books and videos explaining morphic fields and the quantum field are available today, and the study is fascinating.

My main take-away is the realization that we each have an impact on the world - positive or negative - based on the choices that we make and the energetic effect that those choices have on the field and therefore on every other person living on earth.

By our choices, we live our lives.

We invite you to choose love as the guiding force in your life, then to live it every day, knowing that you are now helping to create the future that we all wish to see in the world.

We wish you love and joy on your journey.
